Triumph Foods Honored for Local Food Donation Efforts

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Joseph Civic Arena, Second Harvest honored Triumph Foods with the 2024 Outstanding Business Award. The annual Mayors’ Thanksgiving dinner invites Local leaders to give thanks and assist Second Harvest. Second Harvest fights food insecurity in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.
In 2024 so far, Triumph has donated 97,000 pounds of high-quality protein to Second Harvest. On average, Triumph donates approximately $200,000 and 250,000-plus pounds of pork products to area charities every year. Of these donations, over $100,000 and 100,000 pounds stay in St. Joseph and northwest Missouri.
“All of us at Triumph Foods are grateful to donate high-quality protein to Thanksgiving tables in our communities every year,” said Triumph Foods President and CEO Matt England. “It is an honor to be recognized for our donation efforts by one of our key partners in fighting food insecurity, Second Harvest. Our success is thanks to our community partners who make sure our donations are distributed to those in need throughout St. Joseph and our region.”
This month, Triumph continued its annual tradition of donating pork products to Second Harvest ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Triumph will donate near 40,000 pounds of pork products – including seasoned loin fillets and pork roast – to Second Harvest. The donation is estimated to provide more than 40,000 servings across the 19 counties served by the food bank.
In addition to Triumph’s product donations, team members volunteered at the food bank this year helping provide lunches for Second Harvest’s No Hunger Summer feeding program.
