  • Maintenance Superintendent

    Management

    Summary:

    Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance activities of the complex to include all buildings, processing equipment, refrigeration, and waste pre-treatment facilities.  This role requires excellent technical, communications and problem solving skills to coordinate a complex work schedule needed to keep facilities in optimal operation.  An ability to evaluate the physical layout of the plant while also considering the Company’s goals and objectives is critical in order to make the best opportunity recommendations for cost savings, optimal layout for efficiency improvements and enhancements to pork processing systems.  Key responsibilities will include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance schedule and controlling mechanical inventories. An ability to prepare annual budgets for capital and repair needs will be required as well as an ability to interact with senior leadership when communicating project requirements and evaluating progress.  Communicating, motivating, developing, and evaluating a competent staff of supervisors and mechanics capable of performing their maintenance specialties is key to the success of this role as is achieving an efficient utilization of this important work team.  The incumbent must work closely with Operations and Safety to promote good work habits and safety.  This role requires excellent attention to detail and an ability to execute in order to manage large on site projects.

    • Identify, develop, and implement key projects that will result in the achievement of established labor goals. Projects may include new methods, layouts, and/or equipment changes.
    • Responsible for obtaining MOC’s, reviewing and writing Appropriation Request and bringing all Capital projects to completion in an efficient manner.
    • Responsible for setting clear objectives, providing feedback, evaluating personnel in the Maintenance Department and may recommending training.
    • Analyzes, develops and implements an organizational plan, which will result in equitable distribution of work load for supervisors in your area of responsibility.
    • Is familiar with OSHA and FSIS regulations and works with FSIS to receive, evaluate and report work needed to keep the plant running in accordance with regulatory requirements. Also responsible for maintaining all Regulatory compliances for PSM/RMP and EPA guidelines.
    • Compiles and distributes internal productivity reports.
    • Help to ensure protection of business assets via internal control, auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage is in place for all contractors providing service.
    • Plan, develop, and implement a parts inventory control program, which provides dollar value, and inventory status. Controls mechanical expenses within established budget and actively pursue cost reduction opportunities in labor, material cost, and inventory balance of spare parts.
    • Proactively diagnose problems and develop ways to pre-empt breakdowns by developing strategies to improve overall reliability of the plant.

    Qualification Requirements:

  • FSQA Sanitation Technician C-Shift

    Summary:

    The Sanitation Technician is responsible for all aspects of externally sanitizing all production equipment, tools and work areas as well as the cleanliness of the entire plant according to a set schedule ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain an efficient flow of the production process.

  • Clinician B-Shift

    Management Support

    SUMMARY: The clinician will provide medical care and assessment to Triumph employees as well as direct the functions of the health service department for that shift (i.e. – workers compensation, ergonomic issues, wellness activities, etc.). The staff clinician also supports the Nurse Manager in handling legal record keeping and noting trends/issues to be taken to appropriate Human Resource and production management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    · Treat/educate employees. Evaluate and assess employee complaints and determine appropriate medical care (work related and personal injury/illness).

    Able to make rounds of facility and areas of responsibility as needed (i.e. – plant walk through).
    Communicating effectively with employees to determine complaints/needs and assist with training (i.e. – Blood Borne Pathogen, etc.).
    Communicating effectively with Medical Case Management and Worker’s Compensation issues.
    Be a liaison between health professionals, employees, management personnel to facilitate communication.
    Communicating effectively with management to ensure action/follow up on specific issues.
    Maintain employee records to facilitate timely and accurate completion of entries on OSHA 300 Log and First Reports of injury according to established policies/procedures to ensure compliance.
    Maintains complete confidentiality of all medical data. Ensures professional standards of Occupational Health are maintained.
    Timely and Accurate documentation of information for entry into employee medical files and filing.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Must have EMT, Paramedic, LPN or RN.

    Possess an active nursing licensed in State of Missouri.

    BLS certification required within 90 days from start date.

  • Maintenance Supervisor B-Shift

    Management

    SUMMARY:
    The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance activities and operations are smoothly conducted and that all facility systems are appropriately functioning. Follow all standard operating procedures of the plant.

  • Scientific Yield Technician

    Management Support

    The Scientific Technician – Yield Technician ensures that yield testing is completed in an accurate and precise manner using a process that keeps product safe and follows all quality assurance requirements. A Scientific Technician – Yield Technician will have a strong working knowledge of data management, food safety practices, and carcass anatomy and associated fabrication practices to produce standard market cuts. The Scientific Technician – Yield Technician will rely on his/her knowledge in the principles of swine anatomy, meat science, statistics, and Microsoft Excel to fill the current role. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee, enhance and actively participate in day-to-day activities on the fabrication floors and provide timely written feedback and data to senior management about pork primal and sub-primal yields.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Scientific Technician – Yield Technician is responsible for performing all job functions necessary under the facilities yield testing program. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating data collection. Further, this position will be required to apply fundamental pork fabrication knowledge to determine if product meets a defined set of specifications. Application of basic data quality management and statistics fundamentals will be necessary.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Perform and carry out tasks related to pork primal and sub-primal yield testing for the purpose of improving overall production:
    Applying company product specifications to online production.
    Ability to provide instructions/training to other personnel in the facility.
    Ability to sort product based on set criteria.
    Project planning and coordination to meet defined timelines.
    Communication and coordination with Operations and Quality Assurance team members and management.
    Accurate and precise data collection.
    An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    Oversee daily data management and accurate recordkeeping regarding yields to ensure compliance with company standards and to improve efficiency.
    Apply basic statistical principles of outlier detection to collected data and communicate findings to senior management to identify solutions and resolve discrepancies.
    Set daily and weekly objectives and communicate them to personnel.
    Follow strict adherence and compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
    Knowledge of the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) rules and regulations that apply to the safe production of pork products.
    Perform a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, machinery and equipment while performing product fabrication procedures.
    Understand and adhere to all facility/position PPE requirements.

    This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled labor, while conforming to company standards for safety, attendance, and personal conduct. This position is full of repetitive motions for up to 10 hours a day for 6 days a week. Working conditions can range from the cold side at 28 degrees and damp to the kill side at 100 degrees and humid. These jobs require the use of a knife or other hand tool.

     

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
