  • Maintenance Superintendent

    Management

    Summary:

    Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance activities of the complex to include all buildings, processing equipment, refrigeration, and waste pre-treatment facilities.  This role requires excellent technical, communications and problem solving skills to coordinate a complex work schedule needed to keep facilities in optimal operation.  An ability to evaluate the physical layout of the plant while also considering the Company’s goals and objectives is critical in order to make the best opportunity recommendations for cost savings, optimal layout for efficiency improvements and enhancements to pork processing systems.  Key responsibilities will include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance schedule and controlling mechanical inventories. An ability to prepare annual budgets for capital and repair needs will be required as well as an ability to interact with senior leadership when communicating project requirements and evaluating progress.  Communicating, motivating, developing, and evaluating a competent staff of supervisors and mechanics capable of performing their maintenance specialties is key to the success of this role as is achieving an efficient utilization of this important work team.  The incumbent must work closely with Operations and Safety to promote good work habits and safety.  This role requires excellent attention to detail and an ability to execute in order to manage large on site projects.

    • Responsible for obtaining MOC’s, reviewing and writing Appropriation Request and bringing all Capital projects to completion in an efficient manner.
    • Responsible for setting clear objectives, providing feedback, evaluating personnel in the Maintenance Department and may recommending training.
    • Analyzes, develops and implements an organizational plan, which will result in equitable distribution of work load for supervisors in your area of responsibility.
    • Is familiar with OSHA and FSIS regulations and works with FSIS to receive, evaluate and report work needed to keep the plant running in accordance with regulatory requirements. Also responsible for maintaining all Regulatory compliances for PSM/RMP and EPA guidelines.
    • Compiles and distributes internal productivity reports.
    • Help to ensure protection of business assets via internal control, auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage is in place for all contractors providing service.
    • Plan, develop, and implement a parts inventory control program, which provides dollar value, and inventory status. Controls mechanical expenses within established budget and actively pursue cost reduction opportunities in labor, material cost, and inventory balance of spare parts.
    • Proactively diagnose problems and develop ways to pre-empt breakdowns by developing strategies to improve overall reliability of the plant.

    SUMMARY: The staff nurse will provide medical care and assessment to Triumph employees as well as direct the functions of the medical department for that shift (i.e. – medical leaves, ergonomic issues, wellness activities, etc.).  The staff nurse also supports the Nurse Manager in handling legal record keeping and noting trends/issues to be taken to appropriate Human Resource and production management.

    SUMMARY:  This position will collect accurate and precise data from various production lines and processes throughout the plant. Performing tasks aside from data collection will be required. Those tasks are expected to be completed according to company procedures. Must effectively manage time to achieve data integrity and test reliability. This person will establish positive and professional working relationships with Management and our owners. Effective communication with Management, line leads, other R&D Techs, members of the Integrated Research Committee, and production employees is required to accomplish data collection, experiment design, quality, specifications, and food safety goals.

     

    SUMMARY: Assists in the day to day operations of the Micro-Lab to ensure aseptically collected and prepared samples of various microbial and chemical analysis using established procedures and techniques. Duties include evaluating and verifying sample results and data entry.

  • Senior Director of Maintenance and Engineering

    Management

    Summary:

    Responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership required to operate and maintain a 975,000 square foot animal protein production facility which includes a 195,000-pound ammonia system, 3 million gallon wastewater treatment facility, rendering and steam generation operation, thirty-eight (38) million-pound distribution center, axis robotic and automation systems. Leads a team consisting of 11 direct reports and 300+ engineering and maintenance technicians and specialists. This team is responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities, special projects, and facility enhancements designed to examine product and workforce improvements. Oversees all capital expenditures, projects, and facility expansions while maintaining production efficiencies within budgetary parameters and driving continuous improvement.

    Ammonia OP1/OP2 and PSM training preferred but not required. Hazmat trained and qualified.

    The Sanitation Technician is responsible for all aspects of externally sanitizing all production equipment, tools and work areas as well as the cleanliness of the entire plant according to a set schedule ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain an efficient flow of the production process.

    SUMMARY: The clinician will provide medical care and assessment to Triumph employees as well as direct the functions of the health service department for that shift (i.e. – workers compensation, ergonomic issues, wellness activities, etc.).   • Sanitation Trainer C-Shift

    SUMMARY:

    The Sanitation Trainer is responsible for all aspects of externally sanitizing all production equipment, tools, and work areas, as well as the cleanliness of the entire plant according to a set schedule ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain an efficient flow of the production process. The trainer will educate new employees to follow GMPs, operate at a level suitable of meeting FSQA standards.     Progress of daily and non-daily cleaning scheduled tasks.
    Correct application of chemicals through titration testing, drain baskets management, and water house usage.
    Verification of cleaning efficiency with ATP swabs and implementation of corrective actions.
    Verification of sanitation efficiency with Environmental Pre-Operational swab results and implementation of corrective actions.
    Responsible for monitoring and verifying the adequate implementation of cleaning and sanitation activities to support the pre-requisite programs (Allergen Control, Pest Control, Chemical Control, Glass and Brittle, etc.)
    Pre-Operational deficiencies identified by the QA department.
    Pre-Operational Sanitation non-compliances during USDA inspection.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Preference will be given to college students working in scientific majors. No experience or training required but would prefer three years related experience and/or training in a lab setting.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

     

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language such as laboratory protocols, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Must be organized and detail oriented. Must have good troubleshooting skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word. Must have ability to work as a team member and individually to complete given tasks. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

    REMARKS:

     

    This position is Part-time and will work less than 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule: either 8 hours or 4 hours on Saturdays, 4 hours every Sunday, the additional up to 18 hours will be agreed to by the employee and the company, with the exception that on occasion the company may ask for some flexing.  Must also be willing to work on holidays.

    • Regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, climate extremes are found in all areas of the plant
