  • Class A CDL Shag Driver B-Shift

    Management Support

    SUMMARY:
    The Class-A CDL Shag Driver will be responsible for moving tractors/trailers to the appropriate dock doors, parking, and securing trailers.

    • Must be able to start refrigerated trailer units.
    • Pre-inspect the truck before driving.
    • Will be required to fuel and wash trailers.
    • Will receive trailers by radio call to be spotted at the dock doors.
    • Will be required to open outside trailer doors prior to spotting to dock doors.
    • Will connect & disconnect trailers.
    • Drive to off-site lots to park trailers.
    • Pull loaded trailers to the load line and re-spot the tractor.

  • Parts Room Clerk B Shift

    Management Support

    SUMMARY:
    Responsible for administrative support and assistance to the Parts Room Manager, maintenance mechanics, and management as directed. Excellent customer service skills required, excellent attitude, and ability to work in a team environment

    • Learn the setup of the parts room.
    • Be able to look inventoried parts up on the MP2.
    • Sign out parts using the part #, personnel’s ID #, quantity, and the area of the plant the part is going to, which will ensure accuracy.
    • Be able to sign out stock items through the MP2 system.
    • Conduct inventory cycle counts and be able to adjust the inventory in the MP2 system.
    • Ensure parts being sent out for repair are tagged and identified properly.
    • Be able to fill out Stock Request forms properly and send them through the proper channels.
    • Arrange the cleaning, testing, and logging of the stunners.
    • Accurately check out radios, tools, and non-inventoried items.
    • Perform general customer service to maintenance and plant personnel.
    • Be able to issue “after-hour” or “emergency” POs.
    • Put parts away that are received daily and be able to put parts back into stock that is returned from maintenance.
    • Understand how the Monfort Building works and be able to pull stock from there and log it accurately.

  • Superintendent of Electrical Engineering

    Management

    SUMMARY:

    The Superintendent of Electrical Engineering will be in charge of assisting the Director of Electrical Engineering and the Senior Director of Engineering in creating implementation plans, developing processes, managing the planning and installation of systems, and a variety of other tasks. This position will work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams.

  • Scientific Yield Technician

    Management Support

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Scientific Technician – Yield Technician is responsible for performing all job functions necessary under the facilities yield testing program. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating data collection. Further, this position will be required to apply fundamental pork fabrication knowledge to determine if product meets a defined set of specifications. Application of basic data quality management and statistics fundamentals will be necessary.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Perform and carry out tasks related to pork primal and sub-primal yield testing for the purpose of improving overall production:
    o Applying company product specifications to online production.
     Ability to provide instructions/training to other personnel in the facility.
     Ability to sort product based on set criteria.
    o Project planning and coordination to meet defined timelines.
    o Communication and coordination with Operations and Quality Assurance team members and management.
    o Accurate and precise data collection.
    o An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Oversee daily data management and accurate recordkeeping regarding yields to ensure compliance with company standards and to improve efficiency.
    • Apply basic statistical principles of outlier detection to collected data and communicate findings to senior management to identify solutions and resolve discrepancies.
    • Set daily and weekly objectives and communicate them to personnel.
    • Follow strict adherence and compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
    • Knowledge of the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) rules and regulations that apply to the safe production of pork products.
    • Perform a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, machinery and equipment while performing product fabrication procedures.
    • Understand and adhere to all facility/position PPE requirements.

    SUMMARY: This position will function as a team member, collecting accurate and precise data from various production lines and processes throughout the plant. Performing tasks aside from data collection will be required. Those tasks are expected to be completed according to company procedures. Must effectively manage time to achieve data integrity and test reliability. This person will establish positive and professional working relationships with Management and our owners. Effective communication with Management, line leads, other R&D Techs, members of the Integrated Research Committee, and production employees is required to accomplish data collection, experiment design, quality, specifications, and food safety goals.

    SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    ·         Aseptically collect and prepare samples for various microbial and chemical analysis

    ·         Perform laboratory analysis using established procedures and techniques

    ·         Evaluate and verify sample results and data entry

    ·         Insure safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are maintained

     

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Preference will be given to college students working in scientific majors. No experience or training required but would prefer three years related experience and/or training in a lab setting.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

     

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language such as laboratory protocols, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Must be organized and detail oriented. Must have good troubleshooting skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word. Must have ability to work as a team member and individually to complete given tasks. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

    REMARKS:

     

    This position is Part-time and will work less than 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule: either 8 hours or 4 hours on Saturdays, 4 hours every Sunday, the additional up to 18 hours will be agreed to by the employee and the company, with the exception that on occasion the company may ask for some flexing.  Must also be willing to work on holidays.
